Tooling around Simi Valley this last week had me scanning for a local Starbucks when I spotted Ridiculous Prices.com.
OMGosh! You simple gotta stop when you see a store with a name like this. So I did and was not disappointed. In a quiet shopping mall this small boutique gets attention. A steady stream of local shoppers came in snapping up clothing deals for men, women and some children.
This outlet store has a mirage of goods from brand names to higher end designers in casual tees to cocktail dresses and everything in between, all at 60%-95% savings. Really. Their buyers buy up manufacturer overruns, store overstock and closeouts from a variety of different sources.
The selection here has something for everyone with names like Ed Hardy, David Dart, Kenneth Cole, Citron, Alfani, Poleci, Ralph Lauren, T- Bags, Miss Sixty, Laundry, Alfred Dunner, Nautica, Charter Club, Lanz of Salzburg, Spenser Alexis more from petites to plus sizes.
This store has a lot of one of a kind or 2-3 of a kind. Almost everything here was a standout out buy. Some Chip and Pepper Pamela jeans were here at $24 instead of $169. A Spenser Alexis top was $14.95 instead of $109. A David Dart silk summer top was a sweet deal at $6.99 instead of $180. A Jane Street evening dress had original tags on it for $320. But here it’s $44. A David Cline top normally retails at $95 but was here at $11.99. Citron silk overalls were $24.95 instead of $195. There was a lot of Citron here in dresses, pants and tops.
A good selection of Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier, and Peace of Us was in the front of the store. A Peace of Us jacket retails at $230. Here it’s $34.99. An Ed Hardy classic embellished tee was here at $47 instead of $98. A men’s Christian Audigier tee retails at $209, but is priced more sanely here at $69. Ed Hardy deck shoes are $49 instead of $90.
Though the bulk of the stock is women’s, guys weren’t left out. An Alfani top was $13.99 instead of $32. A Tommy Bahama tee was $8.99 instead of $50. Some Docker Trousers were easy at $7.99 instead of $48.
They have a Savings Certificate rewards program where you get a credit on your next purchase equal to the value of 10% of your last purchase. But you have to go back within a month.
Easy to quickly shop with stellar deals, Ridiculous Prices lives up to it’s name. They have three locations so you don’t have to go all the way out to Simi Valley to partake of these stellar buys. But the buys are so good I think it’s totally worth the jaunt
