In my Glendale neighborhood everyone decorates for every holiday. Halloween, Thanksgiving…. Is it too early for Christmas?  I concede that it’s gotta be fun to decorate like that. But up to now I have shied away from such expenditures. That is until I walked into the Décor Store in Simi Valley.

Wow… This place is huge, and packed with every kind of seasonal décor along with furniture, and accessories you can imagine.  I wasn’t immediately moved to review the store when I first entered but the more I wandered around, the more enthusiastic I became.

Though their sign says they are manufacturer direct, not everything here is a deal But the best deals I found are on the seasonal décor pieces. Wreaths, ornaments, wall and tabletop items are usually at about 20%-50% less and you’ll get a better selection here than at any other store in the area.

They have a large room packed with better quality fake Christmas Trees with lights or flocking from 72.99- up to $425 for a twelve footer. I have seen these up to $800. Just beyond is a décor room with racks of ornaments and tabletop décor. A nice tabletop center piece silk flower arrangement in an urn was $29.99 instead of $40.  Some hand blown, iridescent glass globe ornaments were a steal at $1.99 each instead of $5 each. Smaller red glistening glass ball ornaments were $.99 each.  A topiary tabletop, 3-tiered ivy piece was a good buy at $29.99 and an extra large stuffed teddy bear was another terrific buy at $29.99.  I have priced these at over $50. Some candy cane dishes were $.99 and a cool Santa Clause cookie jar was $12.99. A pair of Candlestick table lamps w/ a shade were also a good buy at $19.99.  Some amazing gift boxes with ceramic decorated lids were terrific and ranged from $6 99- $19.99.

Some items had a never seen before and couldn’t compare and others were so common with such a huge price range that I didn’t bother. The furniture is reasonably well priced  but nothing to jump up and down about.  The vast selection in this huge warehouse is completely overwhelming.

The product here is generally better quality, with a larger selection and more unusual items than what you can find at Big Lots, Ross or even Michaels, but not on everything. 

If you are a Holiday or seasonal décor nut, here you can let loose a bit and not be taken to the bank.
