| Up to now, the Inland Empire’s
primary bargain shopping sources were home furnishings and décor
warehouse or outlets. No really good, better women’s designer
discount clothing stores had a made a go of it. That is, until now.
Open just a week, Cali Clothing Outlet in Redlands is a gem of
a store with women’s career and special occasion apparel at
60%-80% below the original retail. With suits, dresses, separates
along with fun tops and skirts thrown into the mix, you can’t
escape picking up a fabulous garment at a great deal.
I visited with my 12- yr old daughter in tow and thought we’d
both be safe from temptation. Neither one of us wears nor needs
suits or cocktail dresses. The selection was supposed to be mostly
professional wear. But, after 10 minutes, I knew that we were both
heading home with new bargain prizes. The prices and selection are
that good with solid designers labels like Laundry, Dana Buchman,
Jones New York, Anne Klein, Tahari, Nine West, Michael Kors, Ralph
Lauren, Sue Wong, Nicole Miller, Le Suit as the main stays and fun,
playful labels like Roberta, London, and Max Studio offering more
trendy pieces.
Owner, Denise Kennedy buys first quality shelf pulls and last seasons
overstock from the Federated Group (Macy’s, Bloomingdales
etc). After carefully choosing each piece, she then resells them
to the public at pricing so low, it’s stupid. The first item
I spotted was a Tahari pin stripe pant suit. I’d had just
seen this same suit at TJ Max for $140. Here it was just $69. The
original retail was $250. Next to it was a group of Anne Klein II
light wool pant suits that originally went for $320. It was only
$65.99 here.
My daughter was getting into the fun checking out a rack of cool
fun tops by Michael Kors, Nine West, and Laundry… all priced
from $9.99 to $13.99 instead of the retail $49-$80. I lost her to
the dressing room with her loot.
I then fawned over the cocktail and party dresses wishing I could
come up with an excuse to buy one. A silky Sue Wong, colorful chiffon
dress was only $65. Original retail was $317. A totally cute white
baby doll dress with beading by Laundry was priced at just $57 instead
of the original $217. A blue crotched, skin tight dress by Krashetta
was $49 instead of $130. A truly gorgeous dress by Suzi Chin was
only $33. Retail would run over $120. Some classic wrap dresses
were here by Jones New York at $33 instead of $168.
Separates like a taffeta skirt by JS Boutique caught my eye at
$20 instead of $89 and silk 40’s cut print blouse by Michael
Kors was a great by at $13.99 instead of $89. Some Tahari black
dress pants were only $20 and a Ralph Lauren tie cardigan was $32
instead of $159.
Well dressed women beware! Rarely will you have to drive into L.A
now that Cali Clothing outlet is on the scene. With their terrific
selection, sizing from petite to plus and rock bottom pricing you’re
bound to find something fabulous. Add to that a wall of costume
jewelry with a huge selection of fun, name brand earrings from $5.99
-$10.99, there is no escaping the inevitable shopping prize. This
place rocks!
