Weekends are for Shopping…
The Spring Sales at LF Warehouse and Descanso Gardens proved too tempting for me to resist. Though I got my bargain game face on at the LF Warehouse Sale, I was totally surpassed in bagging a bargain at the Descanso Sale.
I went to the LF Warehouse Sale early Friday to beat the Westside traffic. I went alone, staying focused on getting what I needed fast. I cruised the racks and bins grabbing anything cute, cool and in my size that would add to my wardrobe. I noticed most the women shopping that early were in their 30-40’s. These savvy chic chicks were all shopping the way I was. Grabbing stuff fast and editing down later. After trying on about 40 items, I left 2 hours later with 2-pairs of jeans, 4 tees, 2 tops and undies for $108. I limited my spending and still bagged some stellar buys.

Later that day at Descanso, hubby showed me up by nabbing a 5 ‘ tall cactus for just $15. I had a field day talking to all the volunteers learning about different plants and their care. My dawdling cost me as the two rare Japanese roses I was interested in were nabbed by someone else. All I ended up with was some cactus cuttings and two climbing rose bushes. This inexperienced plant shopper wont make that mistake again. I’ll do my research before I shop next time.

Saturday had me head down to the OC to check out a couple of places down there. But you’ll read about that in Latest Bargain Finds.
