Summer Get Away

This Summer has been busier than usual and between parenting and running BargainsLA, the stress level has been above the norm. Our quick trip to the San Diego Zoo this last weekend was suppose to help us “getaway from it all” for some stress relief and family time for the day. It proved to be both good and bad.

First, the Zoo itself is marvelous. Their famous exhibits do not disappoint. It’s easy to get around the zoo with their tour busses, shuttles and aerial trams. The park food is pretty good. The zoo keepers, help and guides are all knowledgeable, cheerful and polite. 

But none of those good things could change the fact that my back went into spasm the second I entered the park. Perfect….

Not wanting to let on how bad it was and spoil the day I just walked a little slower and didn’t complain. I was eating Advil and drinking a ton of water on the side. At lunch my cover was blown when I went through two half splits of wine and 4 Advil. I had to admit I was in a bit of pain.

Now in on the issue, we saw a bunch more exhibits on the guided bus tour and tram,  made sure we got to see the Pandas, Gorillas, Tigers, Lions and Elephants. But by 4 pm I had had all I could stand and we started the long drive home.

My first call was to my chiropractor, Mary Kaiser Cole, who got me into the office first thing Monday morning for therapy.

Luckily I had purchased a 12-visit plan earlier this year and had a couple left. This is the only office I know where you can pre-pay and get an office visit and chiropractic adjustment for $30 if you do the pre-pay plan…. a good 40% savings

They have several pre-pay plans now available:
4 visits at $160… a total savings of $40
10 visits at $300… total savings of $190

She also works on kids, does blood nutrition consultations, uses hot packs, ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation and is one of the few local chiropractors that does NAET allergy treatments.

With this recent back issue that needs more than a few visits, I am so glad to have found a chiropractor that not only is really good at what she does, but also offers a terrific bargain.
