Revisiting Pillers

A jaunt into the South Bay had me stop at long time favorite Piller’s.
My gosh this store is overstuffed with deals…. Which makes it really hard to shop. But I knew some stellar deals would find me if I just hunted a bit.

I started in the back looking through box after box of designer shoes in my size. Some are current, some are several years out of style but all were higher end designers. Casadei,  Mia, Sigerson Morrison,  Stuart Weitzman, Ellen Tracy, Franco Sarto, Baci, Claudia Ciuti, Donald Pliner and Isabella Fiore. Prices here started at 50% off but many were at 90% off. … like the pair of Bettye Mueller sandals at $13 that were originally $132.

I then went through the front racks of women’s clothing. As always there was a lot of classic upscale European designers all at 50% off like Tamotsu, Escada, Prada, Jean Marc Phillip, Yansi Fugel and Dolce & Gabbana. But what I didn’t realize was cool upscale trendy designers that graced the racks too. Mod O Doc, Chilly Peppers London, Olive Jane,  Hale Bob, Chaiken, Nicki Hilton, Tee Party, Da Nang, Tessuto,  Joie,  Rags & Bones,  Ladies of the Canyon, Ofir Dahan,  Juicy Couture and more. I started snatching armloads of stuff.

Picks included a Juicy Couture velour sweat jacket at $55,  Da Nang camouflage trousers for $89 instead of $198, Hale Bob velvet jacket at $119 instead of $238, Tee Party cotton dress for $49, jersey. Nicki Hilton cropped sweater for $34 instead of $68.

David then directed me to the 80% off racks where deals like a Miss Me silk blouse at $6.60, a Tamotsu blouse that originally was $210 was $42. A Poleci silk dress was 90% off at $25 instead of $256. After trying everything on, I settled on the Da Nang trousers and the Hale Bob velvet evening jacket for those cool Summer evenings.

I was there 2 hours picking through this overstuffed store. The hardest part was finding out at what discount everything was. David was always there to give me the price scoop. Plus if you buy several items he’ll also dicker on the price saving you even more.

When I got home with my prizes, hubby was disappointed I didn’t get him anything. Yes they have an equally overstuffed guys section with suits, sport coats, tops, sweaters, shoes and pants at 60%-90% off originally retail.

If you love to hunt and score, Pillers is a bargainistas dream.
