FR Industries Fun

At an FR Industries Warehouse Sale (Now known as Villa Firenze) last Fall, I did the buying before need thing and loaded up on basic silk lined curtain panels for a home I didn’t even own yet.  The home I was in needed 5 panels, odd I know. Most living rooms or formal dining rooms need 6-8. So I bought six panels along with another matching set. At $30 a pop I knew I wouldn’t be able to get this level of quality at that same and didn’t want to settle for less. Little did I know that this incredible designer/ manufacturer would open an outlet. Joy has replaced my fear of not being able to get this stuff again at a wholesale price.

I popped in to visit the owner Florence last week to see her preparations for the Grand Opening today. The place was totally transformed into a showroom.  Beautiful fabric swatches, curtain panels, pillows on lounges, bedding ensembles and home décor accessories were logically displayed. Making it easy to coordinate looks… and she was even installing air conditioning and creating a “guy corner” for hubbies to hang out.

My creative juices started to flow as I went through the showroom.  I started planning my future purchases…..I’d mix this fabric with that fabric, get a duvet made out of this fabric with coordinating pillows. Have another one made for my daughters room, have custom curtains made to match. I’d load up on quilts, grab an assortment of pillows to mix and match for my bedroom for the different seasons, and…. Oops, I don’t have to do that any more. FR Industries is now open regularly. I can take my time getting creative, no need to rush and do it all in one day. I can even use Florence’s incredible sense of design to help me pull a look together.

Holy cow… I can do all of this … you can do all this with high quality fabrics and crafting at wholesale. I never have to look at the garbage at Bed Bath and Beyond again!

Home decorating doesn’t get an easier than this or cost any less.
