A Great Gift for Guys

Giving a guy a great birthday gift is an art form.  Over the years I have given hubby a few flops and some real hits. The best, according to him was a surprise Birthday party and the worst was a gift card … boring!

So when his birthday was coming around again, getting him something was causing me stress. That is until I met my friend Lizzie for lunch.  She suggested Flight Deck Air Combat Center in Anaheim. After all, what guy wouldn’t want the chance to pilot an F-16 in an authentic flight simulator?

They have several different flight options from Individual Flights to corporate events and private parties. I booked for him the Echo Mission which is a 70 minute flight including take off, basic maneuvers, air combat (OMG!), multiple day and night landing and Carrier Traps for $79. They have individual flights from $69- $79 and you have to be a least 13 years old.

When I gave him the certificate for the Flight Deck Air Combat Center he lit up, cried out,  “Oh Man!” and said he had wanted to go for ages.
Will let ya know how it goes as his flight is on 11/21.

After he opened his gift, we took him out for Sunday Brunch at The Raymond in Pasadena. Their Steak Fritters and Salmon Salad are wicked good!
