Recession Blues…Something to Think About
In any recession we lose some retailers and businesses we all used to shop more often. This recession is harsher… period. Everyone has taken a hit, even our most beloved outlets. Many of our bargain shops have smaller mark up margins and cannot weather this downturn without support from us. Keep in mind that sample and warehouse sales are not as common the rest of the year as they were this last fall. The deals are always available at our favorite Bargains LA discounters
As we head into 2009, we have to think about what kind of stores and outlets we want around when the economy turns around and is better. And yes it will turn around despite what all the doom and gloom mongers say.
As citizens, not just consumers, do we want to support the big corporate outlet like Walmart and Target that will weather this downturn just fine or do we want to support the small mom and pop stores in our neighborhoods that offer great deals.
Hitting the sale and clearance sales at the big mall stores is a no brainer. Instead may I suggest hitting both your neighborhood stores, restaurants and our local discounters listed here on www.BargainsLA.com If we don’t think about the ramifications of how and where we shop and spend our hard earned money, our choices will be vastly diminished in the near future.
