Our daughter had had a really stressful, exhausting week with her High School Choir rehearsals & performances along with a slew of other responsibilities. With her full workload she still managed to get A’s in all her classes. It was time to give her a reward for all her hard work. So last Friday I took her out of school, letting her sleep in late and then took her shopping.

Don’t Shop on 3 Hours Sleep!

Nothing like going to a St Patricks Day Party, drinking and staying later than I should have and then loosing an hour sleep to go into NBC 4 early Sunday morning. Got through it okay with just 3 hours sleep. I loaded up on vitamins and coffee so I felt pretty good… for awhile.

A Tour of the OC

This weekends tour of the OC had me wasting a lot of the time in traffic. I’m not complaining, just frustrated I didn’t get more stores squeezed into a long day.

I spent most my time in Tustin, Santa Ana and Orange. You’ll see my happy, in depth review of Furnishings Direct in Latest Bargain Finds this week. I also checked out many previously reviewed stores to make sure they were all still around: Van Dorens Consignment, Big Y Yardage, Mothers Secret and the new Far Below Retail.

A designer label I really love, William B kinda reinvented the sample sale with a new concept… the Mobile Sample sale.

This cool line of women’s clothing has showed up a various locations around L.A. with a bright yellow mobile truck Sample Sale.

Online Sample Sale Shopping

Those online Sample sale sites have expanded & grown to a staple haunt for any savvy bargain hunter.

I scan many of them daily. Not just for designer fashion goods for me, but also for my daughter and hubby. I usually find something I like everyday. But I always find something perfect … at a serious discount at least once a month.
