When I need meal deal, unless it’s a social situation, I’m looking for good quick reasonably healthy meal at a bargain.

Usually I packed a lunch, but if I haven’t, I have some favorites spots to eat well for less.  Since I always have water on me, I’ll normally don’t purchase a drink. If you look around at all the different and diverse choices we have here, you’ll realize you can eat right for less

The Big Bash!

Sometimes I go for the easy fix & a bargain price at the same time. This weekend was one of those occasions.

We gave “the kid” a big birthday bash at the house, inviting a mix of 25, 12-14 year old boys and girls. Yikes -these are middle schoolers. We offered no big plans for amusement or games, just music and access to our new Beatles Rock Band… OY! Here’s where we spent our money.

20th Century Props Liquidation Sale

I love treasure hunts, I love to scavenge for unusual, the unique and the outstanding deal. Naturally when I heard 20th Century Props was having a liquidation Sale, I headed over.

The amount of product and props found in this 118,000 square foot warehouse will leave you in awe… but don’t let that stop you from looking around. You may find a one of a kind piece of Hollywood history for a pittance.

Tomato Pie, pizza, pizza, pizza

I am not a pizza lover. Oh I do occasionally get a craving, but if you have kids by the time you have been to your tenth birthday party you never want to see a pizza again. So I was surprised when my fellow parent and friend Lorelei kept nagging at me to check out this new pizza joint in Silverlake.
