The Scoop on the Mike and Chris Liquidation Sale

Often when I am researching sales, I post after I have talked to someone who can give me the details of the sale. I am especially cautious if I hear about a sale from an obscure/ unknown source.
The Mike & Chris liquidation Sale has been going on at various levels & locations for several months now. This bank ordered liquidation has been averaging savings of 50%-70% for several months. A good sale with good quality at a great price.

Mattress Dilema

When mom passed away last year, she gave my daughter family heirloom, an 1860’s Victorian bed set. It is a really stunning set that has been passed down through the generations to the women in the family.
We had been storing a good quality full sized mattress set. But when I went to put it in to the Victorian bed, I found to my total dismay that it didn’t fit.  Apparently, they didn’t have the same sizes way back then.

Fashion Run Amok

Designer, Alexander McQueen went way over the top during his last runway show. The head pieces with the exaggerated mouths were so extreme I couldn’t even see the designs. It was all so comical and freaky.

Out of Business Sale

Oh boo hoo… a local men’s store is going out of biz.
Normally I’d just tell you the sales info and send ya shopping. But the truth is, for me this is a neighborhood store and the guys that operate it are really sweet. I am really sorry to see them close. They don’t know me from BargainsLA… just as a neighborhood mom.

Green Tips

During the winter months, thank heaven spring is on the way, we tend to do heavier cooking: Roasts, stir fry, broiled meats, etc. This comfort food often leaves our home smelling like an old diner kitchen. To add to the odor is our fireplace which we have been using regularly. Often too chilly to open windows during the day, I am left spraying with Oust for a whole day to get rid of the odor and keep the place smelling fresh.
Though Oust works, it isn’t cheap or good for the environment, so when I came across a list of alternatives to freshen up the house from Readers Digest, I took note.
