Nothing like the fun of plotting out a strategy to bag a bargain.

Couple months ago I got my daughter a B-day present of a Bed Head PJ set for $35 instead of the regular retail of $130 on GomattaGirls.com.  Ever since I bought her some, I wanted a cozy set for myself.  I looked around and found that no one else had that same ridiculously low price of 70% off.  Not BlueFly.com, not BedHeadPJs.com clearance, not Ebay, not Overstock.com … not even their sale or outlet store in Culver City. Nada.

So I waited, checking my e-mails for the daily notifications from the Gomatta Girls.
One day a Bed head PJ appeared again. But I didn’t like the pattern. A couple of weeks later another one appeared that I did like. But I ordered too late and they were sold out of my size.  Same thing happened the very next time they had a Bed Head PJ up for grabs. A couple of patterns always showed up, but just a few sizes each sale. I now had to get serious if I really wanted them.

I noticed one late night that GomattaGirls.com sale went live at 11 pm before they sent the email notifications out. Okay, then I noticed they had some web trouble one day and another sale went live at 8pm. I started checking their website early in the morning, mid-day, early evening, late evening and late, late evening to see if I could check out the sale before the e-mail notices went out.  It worked a couple of times. So I kept it up until a new Bed Head PJ’s came up for grabs. That happened this last Sunday night and I got my Bed Head PJ”s for $44 including delivery and tax instead of the original $130 retail price…. which I would never pay for PJ’s.

I am proud of  my stealthy, over the top shopping techniques but am seriously happy with my prize. Bed Head PJ’s make perfect holiday gifts. I’d keep an eye out for them on GomattaGirls.com
