If you love rummage sales, are a creative crafter, this is an event for you.

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a old fashioned clothing swap with a twist. You take in a bag of clothes you don’t need and it will be combined with other lots brought in by Swap O Rama attendees into a big pile. Then everyone is welcome to dive in and find their next new/used treasure from the pile. You can take as little or as much clothing as you like, it’s all free.

Then, with your loot in hand, you can attend one of the on location DIY Workshops. Just go  over to one of the sewing stations and attend a workshop. You’ll learn to make modifications or totally transform your finds. Each swap features a variety of workshops taught by local artists who share their sewing and modification secrets with you. All the materials you need to sew, embroider, bead, fix, repair, knit etc, are supplied.You’ll find professional designers with sewing machines ready to teach you how to make modifications to your new/used duds.

Admission is $5 if you bring a bag of clothes, $10 if you come without. At the end you show off your new creation in a fashion runway. Sounds like fun to me.
