Summertime is Ice Coffee Time
The summer heat tends to make me sluggish and sleepy, so I usually partake in a daily ice coffee at Starbucks to brighten up my spirits. As I reported in last weeks newsletter, over 600 locations of Starbucks are closing, and yes, a bunch … about 85 are in California with around 50 being shuttered in Southern California.
I got into Starbucks, simple cause there were so many around. I especially loved the one at the LA Courthouse when I did jury service last week.
You Starbuck aficionados may have to find an alternative for your daily cup of joe. Perhaps a competitor like Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf or maybe just your local coffee shop. Me….I guess, if forced, I’ll brew my own and then pour it over ice.

In regard to the many Starbucks closures, I was wondering where will their coffee making equipment, supplies, inventory, be sent to? Will it be auctioned, sold at deep discounts, or recycled into new Starbucks out of state?
