Whoa, did I make a killing at the LF Warehouse Sale!

I decided to attend the friends and family sale. I didn’t really need anything but I had gotten all of my holiday shopping done, except for one person. I just thought I should go and help my buddy in crime Loreli.
I held it together, not picking up anything until I got to back of the warehouse where the sweaters were. Cashmere hoodies were only $10! I got 7 … yes seven of those cashmere sweaters, 5 for me and 2 as gifts.
Then I found tees for $6… I got 3. Then I went into the boutique room and picked up a fabulous cape for mom in law at $25 and another embellished sweater for moi.
I was looking around for Loreli to re-group, I spotted some silk baseball jackets at $8 and an army styled jacket at $12 that was just my color. Loreli also found a toggle cardigan for $10 which is I snapped up.
I also grabbed some earrings but after looking at my haul with buyer’s remorse, I left them at the register. 2 hours and the total damages came to $171. Total savings $1400! That’s why I adore this sale.
The LF Warehouse sale on 12/14 (11am-7pm)-12/15 (7am-3pm). Save 80%-95% on women’s sweaters, Holiday dresses, tees, designer jeans, pants, skirts, jackets, shoes, boots, accessories and more. This is one of the very best sales of the season! 5333 McConnell Ave., Los Angeles 90066 (Marina Del Rey). Cash/ CC only.

I have stated many times that I do not recommend Santee Alley in downtown Los Angeles as a bargain shopping destination.
First, last time I checked the real estate is higher priced per square foot that in Beverly Hills. So how can there be any real bargains when the stores are paying top dollar for the location.

Secondly, cheap stuff cheap, is exactly that…. Cheap, crap-ola, junk, garbage. A real bargain is never cheap. A real bargain has value and is always worth more than what you paid for it.
In last weeks Daily News, they announced one of the biggest busts of knock off, counterfeit product ever.
“More than 100 officers raided alleged counterfeiters, seizing $8 million worth of knockoff movies, purses and perfume, authorities announced today.
Billed as the largest anti-counterfeit bust in city history, Thursday’s “Operation Knockout” sent 26 people to jail and yielded 50,000 faked goods — half of them counterfeit CDs and DVDs. Cops targeted their sweep on Santee Alley, the famed shopping district downtown known for its bargain prices for look-a-like designer brands.”
I think what real bargain hunters want is good quality goods at a better price. Cheap knockoffs will always be around. Anyone can buy cheap stuff cheap…. Walmart, Target, 99 Cent only stores are all easily accessible. I’d rather hold out, pay a little more at a sample sale or outlet and get the real goods for less.
