Usually I don’t bother over deals or events at department stores. I figure they have an advertising budget for TV and newspapers and that many of you may have heard about their one-day deals. But as I was cruising around the web and through the local papers I spotted some interesting, note worthy stuff….

On 9/15, JC Penny is having a one-day, 50% off sale on all its shampoos and conditions, including Bed Head, Nexxus, Paul Mitchell, Redken, Sebastian, and Sexy Hair. Caveats: Since these products never show up at more than 25% off, this is a good time to go. Limit 3 items per customer. In store only.

The Macy’s at Topanga is having a Kids Cooking Class on 9/15 (2pm-4pm.) where kids work in the kitchen learning about the science behind cooking.

Macy’s Sherman Oaks is having a shoe event on Friday 9/14 (6-8pm). You get to view the newest pickens from Betsey Johnson, Bruno Magli, Stuart Weitzman, Michael Kors and more.  Cocktail and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
