The Mint Fashion Exchange

Womens' Resale Boutique
Simi Valley

By Suzanne O'Connor

Some recommendations are better than others. So I jumped on the opportunity to check out a Simi Valley resale boutique. The Mint Fashion Exchange offers Simi Valley bargainistas a great source for finding better quality brand name and designer clothing in mint to near mint at 50%-85% off original retail.

Hidden off the beaten track, you’ll find this small boutique packed with something for everyone. From your persnickety self obsessed teen to your hipster grandma or a vogue fashionista to an athletic suburban mom with sizing from XXS- Plus size and everything in-between.

Good labels found here include Free People, Anne Klein, Talbots, BCBG Max Azira, Banana Republic, Nine West, Catherine Malandrino, Juicy Couture and more all in clean near mint or mint condition. Some were even new with tags still attached.

The prices are really low here. I spotted some superior buys. A plus size Ralph Lauren blouse was just $12.  An Isabelle Fiore beaded handbag was $248. A Necessary Objects peasant blouse was $12 instead of $48. Some Juicy Couture trousers were a great buy at $32 instead of $88. The BCBG Max Azira silk blouse was a steal of a deal at $24 instead of $110. A Bebe Cocktail dress was only $21 and an incredible French Laundry plus size blouse was a superior find at just $14 instead of $80.

I loved the midnight blue Versace ruffled zip up jacket at $48 instead of $270… so much in fact I bought it. I also loved the Odille layered ruffled top with Peter Pan collar at $18, instead of $78, so I bought it to. I also got a perfect v-neck cotton tee for a mere $3.

Good selection of shoes and handbags for purveyors of such including some great buys on used Christine Dior at $495 instead of $3000. A Lurella of London gold satchel bag was $495 instead of $1800. They also had quite a few Dooney and Burke, Calvin Klein and even a Kate Spade at $148 instead of $400 and a Michael Kors leather bag at $68 instead of $250.

Easy to shop, cool clothing pickins, a sweet knowledgeable owner along with some easy parking make this a must stop for any bargainista from the Valley to Ventura… or even if you’re just passing through.
