That Jean Shop
We normally buy new jeans in the Winter. Our favorite source for designer jeans at a discount, The Warehouse Sale, was a no show this season.
So I went looking for deals on designer denim. I found That Jean Shop in Los Angeles.
Savvy shop owner, Neta has an inside connection to acquire last season and past years new, unworn designer denim at a fraction of the wholesale, selling them directly to the public at 40%-80% off original retail.
Not only is she a savvy shop owner, but she’s also an expert fitter and really knows her denim lines. So even a curvaceous women or backward fashion guy can get a pair of great fitting jeans at a great bargain price. They have classic styles, discontinued styles, wide leg, boyfriend, skinny, jeggins, bootcut… the works in a wide variety of different washes and embellishments.
The selection in here can vary widely for guys and gals. She is buying remaining product. But we found premium denim by Citizens for Humanity, Frankie B., Rock Star, Chip N Pepper, Rock N Republic, Dylan George, Vintage Levis, Hudson, Diesel, AG, J Brand, Antik Denim, Blank NYC, True Religion and others. Sizing runs 28-44 for guys and 23-32 for gals.
A pair of Dylan George jeans retail at $170-$200 are here at $75. A pair of Frankie B’s were $65 instead of $160. She had a small selection of Chip N Pepper at a mere $24 instead of the real retail of $150-$178… a 80% savings. Some men’s RRL Ralph Lauren jeans were here at $140 instead of $225-$360. A pair of Citizens for Humanity ran just $28 instead of $130… another pair was $75 that retailed at $180-$250. A coveted pair of Traverniti was just $69, and some True Religions ran $95-$120 that originally retailed at $170-$280.
There’s a smattering of other items in shoes, boots, tops, dresses, etc. Some Mike & Chris leather booties were $95 instead of $400 a Dicker & Dicker chinchilla vest was $800 instead of $4000. I also spotted Free People, Monarchy, Fluxus and Salvage ranging from $15-$30.
There are a few caveats. This is a smaller operation. For now, you have to pay with cash. Though she’s working on taking credit cards. Parking is on the street and metered so I parked on a side street and walked.
But the savings are worth the extra effort for great deals and expert fitting. Neta is helpful, knowledgeable and charming. You’ll save a lot of loot and make a new friend. Plus your back side will never look better!
