They had an old Maytag washer & dryer set priced at $400. I had to ask a 40 year old set wasn’t priced better. The 10-minute dissertation I got on the quality, content and superb functioning of a Maytag left my mouth hanging open. I had no idea that newer, large appliances were so poorly made. When I balked at the price on the old Maytag she showed me a newer Kenmore set for $350 but said it wasn’t built near as well and showed me specifically why.

Most used washer / dryers matched sets ran $300-$450. Mix matched sets were $250. The used refrigerators ran $200-$300 and standard 4-6 burner used stoves went for $150- $250.

You’ll also find classic Wedgewood and O’Keefe and Merritt stoves. Fully reconditioned, re-chromed, re-porcelain and re-calibrated, they were not cheap at $1000-$5500. I have seen them in seriously battered condition for $300-$800. But the market price for a completely restored classic stove can run you as high as $8000. Here they are less.

Savon also repairs appliances and sells parts. Everything here is fully backed with a 90-day warranty and a one-year free service house call. If you need a part on an appliance you bought from her, she sell it to you at cost.
