We are always on the prowl for quality used and antique furniture. Not only can you save money, but you’ll usually be able to buy higher quality than buying brand new. Hubby and I came across Premier Antique Furniture when we were buying flooring at National Flooring Outlet in Monrovia. Hidden across the parking lot in a 2-story building was a small sign for antiques. Intrigued, we ventured in.

What a cool place. This brand new store is set up in an ex- office space with cubicles, they used each area for a room vignette. Easy to shop and actually see the pieces.

You’ll find everything thing here from actual antiques to pieces from the 1980’s. All quality and in good condition…. But most importantly. they were priced below average market pricing. I saw only 2 pieces that were at market retail, most were 20%-50% below.

A 1970’s inlaid dark oak pedestal table was totally unique raising up to a dining table or lowering down to a coffee table. It was also a great buy at $265. Market retail would be $350-$400.

Some late 1890’s walnut and cane dining chairs were only $80 each. Market is $150-$200 each. A large oval dining table with 10 chairs was also a steal at $1275. A lovely half oval walnut console table was a good deal at $360 instead of $450. I fell in love with a set of barrel back chairs at $20 a pair. They also had over 10 parsons dining chairs at $80 each.

They have some really unusual items here. A leather game table w/ a secret drawer was $275. A totally unusual Moroccan carved trunk was $685 and some Hollywood Regency high back chairs in a stunning red velvet were $295 each. Market value would be in the mid $400’s or more.

We ended up with a perfect country maple drop leaf table with 3 chairs at $265. We had just priced a similar set at $460. It works perfect in our new breakfast nook. We also signed up for their email list to get notifications of new arrivals. With pricing this good, ya gotta be in the know and pounce on the deal!
