Most of us don’t buy our camping/ outdoor or hiking gear until spring. But that may change with the new Outdoor Outlet in Alhambra.

This new on the scene outlet is housed is a warehouse across the street from Costco, you’ll find savings of 30%-60% off on over 60% of the store on sleeping bags, tents, outer wear, backpacks, duffles, camp stoves, clothing and more. The Outdoor Outlet
buys manufacturer closeouts in discontinued, overstock, refurbished, overproduction and blemished items that regular retailers won’t sell. But here they do and they do it for less.

Not everything is discounted. To fill out inventory they buy and sell some items at retail. But there are deals here and they’re good enough for any outdoor enthusiast to stop and take notice.

I found some terrific buys. A Mountain Smith lily backpack retails at $109, but it’s here for $65. A Sierra Designs girls parka is $70 instead of $190.  A Men’s fleece zip up to by North Face would usually retail at $160. Here it’s $89. A Sierra Designs windbreaker is $20 instead of $42 and Sierra Designs Thunder pant is $19 instead of $35.

Camping necessities abound here. A Texsport Phoenix 2 man tent retails at $140. But is here at $69.  Can’t go camping without a camp stove. Here they have a Texsport dual burner camp stove at $32 instead of $50.  A Sierra Designs Nitro down sleeping bag is $269 instead of $400.

There are lost of small camping accessories from rope and dried food to parachut chords and flashlights that tend to be priced at retail. The good part of this is you probably won’t have to go to another store to get the camping necessities you need.

Though its technically “out of season”, you can gift shop for the holidays for your camping enthusiast or load up for less before next years camping trip. Either way , Outdoor Outlet is a great new addition to the bargain hunting scene in Southern California.
