Buying overruns and remaining product direct from the designer manufacturer is a sure way of getting quality at wholesale or below pricing. Hip & chic Maternity manufacturer, Moody Mamas has opened up their showroom to the public with savings of 30%-75% on styling maternity clothes in tees, tops, casual and cocktail dresses, nightgowns, nursing tops, pants, leggings and more.

Set up in a non descript converted apartment in the Miracle Mile district off Third Street, you’ll be greeted by wholesale reps who will happily show you the racks of designer samples, overruns and remaining product in this small showroom.

Though the selection is limited to only 4-5 racks, the product is choice. I found some gorgeous silk chiffon party dresses for $90 instead of $250. A large grouping of styling tees and tops were priced at $25 that retail at $55-$70.  Ribbed tanks are a mom staple here they are $10 instead of $40. Some casual but styling short jersey knit dresses were $50 instead of $75-$90.  The nightgowns were comfy, soft ad cozy and at $35 you can get more than one. Some cami tops with nursing cuts were also a great buy at $25 instead of $50-$60. Leggings were $25 instead of $45-$50 and some long jersey dresses were $70 instead of $125.

Though a bit rough around the edges (it is a working showroom), there’s a changing area and enough seating so ya shouldn’t have to stand long term and chances are you’ll meet designer Marta or Elise who can give you some solid advice on looking your best through your pregnancy and beyond.

Finally hip, quality maternity wear for less!  No frumpy “mamas to be” found here… ever!
