I have so many bargain sources researched and filed away, that I now need to go back and re-check some that I haven’t been into in years. It’s always a joy to go back to an old source and see that not only are they still a great deal, but they are just as nice and helpful as you remember.

I originally researched Manufacturers Furniture Clearance Warehouse way back in 1999, when I first got started researching places for our soon to be launched website. So it was time to go back and see if they were still as good as I remember.

Not only were they as good as before with savings of 30%-60% on quality home furnishings and décor items, but the selection was now bigger and they added an online store as well. They carry dozens of lines of better manufacturers including Aico, American Drew, Millennium by Ashley, Boyd, Fairmont, Lane, Pulaski, Magnussen, Schnadig, Samuel Lawrence, Ital Art, Brownwood and more

Most of the store is transitional, traditional and contemporary furniture with lots of each to choose from. Though it is a warehouse, more than half the store is set up with mini room settings with decent lighting.

Some standout deals were visible from the parking lot with a modern mid century styled sofa with tufted buttons priced at $698. Retail would easily be $1400 and a fair price would be $900. A manufacturers sample in a dining hutch with a modern Polynesian feel was priced at $787 instead of $1300. Another manufacturer “one of a kind” sample in an elegant traditional floral sofa with an accent chair to match had me gasping at the price… $989! Real retail for the pair would have been upwards of $1700 or more.

As I moved farther into the store I came across a really cool bedroom set by Magnussen. A queen four-poster queen bed plus dresser, mirror and 2 nightstands was $1887 instead of $2688. An elegant round dining table with a Lazy Susan and 4-upholstered chairs was a good buy at $1187 instead of $1500. A quality linen sofa with nail head detail was a terrific buy at $687 instead of $1400. A sectional by Silver Apple with a solid hard wood frame covered in a chenille with nail head detail was $2787 instead of $3500.

The staff is friendly and super knowledgeable, as they have been in the furniture business for decades. Since many items are one of a kind buys, this is a place a bargain hunter uses their pouncing skills. You can also custom order items out of dozens of catalogues here also at substantial savings, but the steepest discounts by far are off the floor. The deals here are stellar! Any savvy bargain hunter who doesn’t stop in here when on the prowl is missing out.
