I’ve discovered that favorite boutiques and stores can open and then disappear rather quickly. Sometimes I find out too late to make contact and get a new location. Such was the case with Great Labels Too in Culver City. I loved this little upscale resale boutique and it’s friendly, hip fashion maven Ethel. But when I went by earlier this year it had disappeared. You can’t imagine my delight when I found Ethel again in her new resale store Fashion Therapy in Santa Monica. I was just out doing my researching thing and decided to stop into this cute boutique with the catchy name. As I entered through the back door, that warm friendly face greeted me with a hug. What a surprise.

After the standard, “how’ve you been” conversation I glanced around and quickly noticed Ethel’s shop carried some rather high end designer labels. I always thought Ethel really knew about fashion, but now that she’s relocated to Santa Monica, she’s been able to spread her wings and really show off that insight. Every piece in here screamed cutting edge and good taste. A group of women were going bonkers in the store loading up once and then again on designer fashions.

There was a ton of good pickens for these ladies to sift through here at 40%-85% off original retail. Commes De Garcon, Dolce & Gabana, Da Nang, Roberta Cavalli, Viviane Tam, Micahel Kors, Bella Dalh, Paper Denim, Custo Barcelona, BCBG Max Azria, Anja Flint, Chanel, Gian Franco Ferre, Citron, Escada, Pamela Barrish and much more.

A Kay Unger Cocktail dress might retail upwards of $220, but here it’s $80. A Versace summer suit was $343 instead of $1100. A Moschino skirt suit caught my attention. The retail was $950. Here it’s new enough to still be cutting edge but priced much better at $362. There were a group of Milly NY skirts suits at $362. I pined over the Sonia Rykeil couture coat. Priced at $1.098, it was over 50% off it’s original price. A Theory blouse was $48 instead of $95. An Ellie Tahari safari jacket was 60% off original retail at $84

I totally got caught up watching the shopping binge these Westside ladies were taking. When I asked them why they shopped here, their answer was unanimous. Not only was the selection and pricing excellent, but Ethel and her staff were the friendliest and most helpful of all the West LA resale stores. Everyone concurred. I guess kind, helpful, caring and knowledgeable sale help isn’t a thing of the past at Fashion Therapy. What a delight!
