On a recent trip down into the OC, I got a bit lost. So I pulled into a small corner shopping mall so I could double check the directions off my phone. When I looked up, I noticed a sweet little shop called Bella Home Thrift Shop. It was so cute, I just had to pop in to see what it was about.

There’s a bit of everything here. From home furnishings and décor to jewelry to clothing, collectible and vintage items. Many items are donated, some are consigned. This thrift shop donates to a wide variety of OC charities including 25% of sales going to Child Help and the Humane Society.

Bella Home Thrift is more like a consignment/ antique shop and this is the best-merchandised thrift I have ever been in to. The prices were pretty sweet too ….about 40%-80% below original retail.

I loved looking through the vintage clothing for guys and gals. I spotted some Anne Marino pumps at $10 and some new Tommy Hilfiger clogs at $14. A pair of leather driving gloves were $10 and a Arden B leather coat was $40. Some guys Levis were $12 and a mens’ Banana Republic button down shirt was just $8. A 1990’ men’s leather bomber jacket was in that perfect used vintage condition at $39.

There were some good furniture buys including a rustic side table w/ wrought iron legs at $45 and a Queen brass bed at $59. A white slip covered ottoman was a good buy at $45 as was a pair of antique nightstands at $39. A nice group of cup and saucer sets were $3 each and a candlestick lamp with a feathered shade was $59. Some perfect Chandelier shades were $2 each.

The best part was the cheery helpful attitude of one of the shops owners, Lorraine. Easy to talk to, fun and very helpful. She made many of the embellished sunglasses behind the counter and the unique antique mink trimmed handbags at $175-$325.
