2nd Street

Resale Boutique
Los Angeles

By Suzanne O'Connor

Loving fashion can come at a high price tag. But not if you shop at the newly opened 2nd Street resale boutique.

2nd Street is Japans leading resale fashion boutique with over 500 stores. Happily, now L.A, has it’s very own branch on Melrose. Clean, bright, well organized, this delightful shop is packed with a brilliant selection of choice pieces from high end, luxury designer lines and sought after Japanese labels to known name brands for guys and gals at 40-85% savings!

There’s tons of handbags, shoes, dresses, coats, pants, blouses, tees, accessories and more from the late 1990’s to 2017. You’ll find Alexander McQueen, Acne, Issey Miyake, Michael Kors, Vince, Opening Ceremony, Chloe, Diesel, Joie, 3.1 Phillip Lim and more here at surprising discounts.

I spotted a women’s Commes des Garcon polkadot blouse at $89 instead of $400 new, or $140 at other resale boutiques.  A Stella McCartney Silk dress is $89 instead of $500. A Robert Rodriguez blouse was just $29. A Vintage Lanvin blouse was $33. A Burberry Raincoat was $449 instead of $800.  An Ann Taylor blouse was $16. A Johnny Was silk blouse was $9 and an AX Armani Exchange black Fit N Flare dress was just $19.

Men have an abundance of cool attire to choose from. A Japanese label, Sharmoon (Ermenegildo Zegna) leather hoodie at $129. A Kenzo suit was $129. A Hysterical Glamour jacket was $179. A Paradox Tee was $29.  A Sense of Place zip up jacket was $29.  A Vivienne Westwood shirt was $59. A Penguin polo shirt was $9. Some Guess Black jeans were just $19 and a Brooks Brother button down shirt was $39.

Shoes and handbags are plentiful. The Men’s section had some sought after athletic shoes by Nike, addidas and others. I liked the mint Timberland boots for $79 and the Doc Martins at $39.

Women have a serious amount of shoes & handbag choices both in high end and name brands. There’s a lot of Louis Vuitton. An LV Damien bag at $499 instead of the original $900.  A Coach Metallic tote was $69. A Marc Jacobs leather handbag was $189. A Burberry handbag was $99. Some Jimmy Choo Sandals were $229 instead of $400. Marc Jacob pumps were $33 and Ferragamo snakeskin pumps were $99. There’s a nice selection of watches and jewelry under a case and a sales rack in the back with some killer buys.

The help is cheerful, informed and helpful. Like Crossroads, they buy outright. I honestly don’t know how anyone could leave without making a purchase. It’s so worth shopping regularly. Yes, it’s that good!
